GREEN VALLEY RANCH NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

What is a Neighborhood Watch?

A Neighborhood Watch is a cooperative effort between the citizens of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Springs Police Department to establish a partnership to make our communities more inviting to live in and less attractive for criminals.

Is this something new?

A Neighborhood Watch is what neighbors have done for years, getting to know and providing support for each other.   Most homeowners are already performing the basic tasks by keeping an eye on a home when a neighbor is away or watching strangers who suddenly appear in the neighborhood.

Isn't this dangerous?

What is expected of Watch members?

Watch members are asked to:

What benefits are there in becoming a Watch member?

As a Watch member, you will receive a roster with names and telephone numbers of all the other members in your Block.  You will also receive a sign which you may display in your window informing others that your are part of the Neighborhood Watch.  You will receive periodic crime prevention information and current crime statistics for our neighborhood.  But most important, you will be contributing to making our neighbor-
hood safer and thus a more desirable place to live.

How do I join?

Simply contact any Green Valley Ranch HOA board member, Block Captain, or the board's Watch Coordinator, Milt Halloran, at 266-9676 or athmmh@aol.com
